Mississippi College offers two joint degree programs, the J.D./M.B.A. and the J.D./M.P.A. programs. The J.D./M.B.A. degree is a traditional program offered in partnership with Mississippi College. The J.D./M.P.A., is a partially online program offered in partnership with the University of Louisiana, Monroe (ULM).
Earn Dual JD MBA Degrees
For students interested in both the business and legal professions, Mississippi College offers a joint juris doctor and master of business administration degree. Holding both a J.D. and an M.B.A. gives an edge to prospective attorneys whose career plans include work with corporations and partnerships, corporate financing, or transactional work. In addition to enhanced business knowledge and skills, an M.B.A provides enhanced credibility in the competitive business world.
MC Law’s joint degree J.D./M.B.A. program can help you launch your career more quickly. Earning a J.D. typically requires three years of study; earning an M.B.A typically requires two years. Because some course credits apply toward both the J.D. and the M.B.A, it’s possible to earn both degrees in three and 1/2 years to four years rather than in five.

Future leaders in public administration or politics can take advantage of our joint juris doctor and master of public administration degree, offered in partnership with the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM).
A J.D./M.P.A prepares students to specialize in government and public sector law, whether at the federal, state, or local levels. This dual degree delivers skills and knowledge related to careers in public finance, land use, legislation, municipal government, and justice administration.
At MC Law, you can complete a joint J.D. and M.P.A. in only four years, generally one year less than if the degrees were pursued separately. Students enrolled in the joint degree program may earn 6 semester hours toward the J.D. degree from certain online M.P.A. courses and 12 semester hours toward the M.P.A. degree from designated J.D. courses at MC Law.
