Scholarships

A listing of scholarships available to new and returning MC Law students

Explore The Generous Scholarships Opportunities Available To New and Returning Law Students.

Take advantage of these generous scholarship opportunities that will help you attain a premier law degree from a private, Christian law school in Jackson, MS, the heart of the state's legal community.

Scholarships are available to incoming MC students as well as returning MC students who have excelled academically during the previous year of study. These returning student scholarships include full tuition and partial tuition scholarships based on class standing. No application is required for these scholarships as the top performing students are automatically considered. A number of students who come to MC Law without scholarship assistance earn full or partial tuition scholarships for their remaining years of law school.

Academic Scholarships

These scholarships are based on academic potential demonstrated through undergraduate grades (GPA) and LSAT score. The scholarships range from $5,000 to full tuition scholarships  and may be renewed for the remaining two years of law school if specified academic standards are met. Scholarship amounts may be increased based on outstanding academic achievement during your first year. All applicants are considered for these scholarships with no separate application.

Feeder School Scholarship

Mississippi College School of Law will award a full tuition scholarship to the top applicant from each HBCU and the schools listed below who meets the qualifications set forth herein.  A feeder school is defined as a school that matriculates, on average five students per year over five years to Mississippi College School of Law. To be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must have an LSAT score of at least 150 and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Feeder School Scholarship recipients are chosen using a "whole person" approach taking into consideration leadership, service, and character as well as GPA and LSAT score.  Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship with no separate application.

The application deadline for the Feeder School Scholarship is March 1st.  Feeder School Scholarship designations will be made by March 15th.  If an applicant applies later than the March 1st deadline, the applicant can still be considered for one of our merit-based scholarships.
