Calls for Papers

Mississippi College Law Review Symposium: Call for Papers

The Mississippi College Law Review will hold its annual legal symposium on Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Mississippi College School of Law.  Entitled “Let’s Settle This: Tips and Techniques for Alternative Dispute Resolution in Mississippi,” the Symposium will review three primary types of ADR: Arbitration, Mediation, and Settlement Conference. The Symposium will feature three experienced panels filled with Arbitrators, Mediators, Magistrate Judges, and Attorneys. In conjunction with this event, Volume 38 of the Review will include a Symposium Issue.  The Issue will feature scholarly articles discussing trends in ADR and its ever-growing prevalence in the law.

The Mississippi College Law Review welcomes academic papers that address meaningful topics in the realm of ADR. We welcome submissions from both legal scholars and practitioners. The geographical scope of the paper should center on Mississippi. While papers of any length will be considered, the ideal length of submissions is between 7,000 and 10,000 words.  Submissions should conform to the 20th edition of Bluebook.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 7, 2019. Please email submissions to Loden Walker, Editor-in-Chief of the Mississippi College Law Review, at
