Membership in the Federal Bar Association provides access to learning and educational opportunities in all realms of federal practice. As a law student, you can get access to everything the Federal Bar Association provides through a student membership that is free of charge. The free membership extends for a year after law school. Through the Federal Bar Association, students get access to a mentor who is a practicing attorney somewhere in the United States. Monthly meetings generally have local speakers from around Jackson who are somehow involved in federal practice from attorneys to judges and their clerks.
