High-Quality, Timely, Relevant Publications for Law Students and Legal Practitioners.
In the latter half of the 20th century, The Mississippi Law Institute was guided by young lawyers in the Jackson, Mississippi, area, many of whom went onto become highly respected attorneys and judges.
Today, as a part of MC Law, MLI maintains the high standards established by these outstanding men and women. MLI produces publications that serve not only to inform practitioners but also to enhance the legal profession in Mississippi. MLI welcomes manuscripts or ideas for publications from potential contributors.

2021 APPELLATE PRACTICE - PRICE: PAPERBACK ($200); eBOOK ($150)
Luther T Munford Et al
The Mississippi Appellate Practice was originally published in 1987 when the Mississippi Supreme Court Rules Committee hired Luther Munford as its reporter for the purpose of rewriting the rules that applied to practice in that court. The rules were written as much as possible based on the rules that governed practice in the federal courts. The original publication was supplemented until 2010. After joining Butler Snow, Luther formed a team of colleagues to work with him to continue the process of updating and revising the book as a service to the courts and to the bar. In the 2021 edition, the rules have been updated through October 1, 2020.
