Some parts of Jackson have faced greater reductions in water pressure than others. Here at MC Law, we have been fortunate that our water pressure has persisted at sufficient levels to operate our HVAC and make our first-floor and basement restrooms available for students, faculty, and staff use throughout the crisis. As of Monday, September 6th, all restrooms in the law school building have been open for use. In addition, we continue to have plenty of bottled water and hand sanitizer (as well as other hygiene resources) available for students, faculty, and staff to use while on campus. For these reasons, we continue to maintain in-person learning on campus.

For our students who live in affected areas of the greater Jackson Metro area, we have provided bottled water and hygiene materials for them to take home and will continue to do so despite the boil water notice recently being lifted. In addition, our main campus in Clinton is providing affected students with places to shower and free laundry service.

MC Law students, staff, and faculty have been updated regularly via email on the status of classes, the availability of restrooms, and the availability of these other resources throughout this challenging time.
