Following the death of her mom and a beloved law school professor, Ryanne Saucier ('08) decided to answer the call to “teach” others how to move through life’s changes in a relatable and connective way. Out of this was born How Do I Do This? with Ryanne, a podcast concept produced and distributed by FOX that she describes as “for anyone…navigating loss, change, or simply craving encouragement.”
Already on a successful career path post-law school, Ryanne is a second-generation broadcaster, media, intellectual property and entertainment attorney who serves as Vice President of Legal Affairs for FOX Television Stations, LLC.
“The genesis was the unexpected death of my Mom in November 2024, which also came 6 weeks after MC Law Professor Lee Hetherington passed away, who was my favorite professor during law school. I felt this pull to ‘teach’ and show people how unexpected life changes shift and change you - not after I'm the new me, but as I'm becoming this new version of me”, Saucier said.
She also noted that, “while there are a lot of podcasts from religious scholars and people in mental health about grief and dealing with unexpected life changes, I could not find anything from just your average Mom who is in the middle of figuring it out.”
Ryanne explains that this podcast is “for anyone reinventing after the plot twist they never asked for.” She is there “to ask better questions about grief and the messy work of becoming someone new. No sugarcoating, no quick fixes—just unfiltered talk, big feelings, and a little humor. Real stories about resilience.”
Her podcast recently hosted fellow MC Law alum, Reverend Katie Bradshaw (’08). You can listen to this along with new episodes every Tuesday, available on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. You can also follow along on Instagram @HowDoIDoThisPod or HERE through FOX 5 Atlanta.
