1. Review Commencement Letter

The commencement letter is a comprehensive listing of important dates, times, and other items related to commencement exercises. Carefully reviewing this letter will ensure that you have all the information necessary to prepare for graduation.

The degree application begins the process of awarding your degree.  To submit your Application for Degree, you should log into the My MC portal on the MC website.  There, you will find the online application under the QuickLaunch navigation column by opening the Graduation folder and clicking “Apply to Graduate.”  Simply follow the instructions on the online form and your application will be submitted.

There is only one official graduation date each semester, no matter when the commencement exercise is held.  University policy has set the date which coincides with the undergraduate commencement as the official date.  You will not see the May Law School graduation date listed as an option.  Select the date listed for May, August, or December based on when you will complete your degree requirements.

If you have already submitted an application, you should not submit a duplicate application.  if you have previously submitted an online application for your degree and you need to change your graduation date or other information, you will be unable to do this online.  Please contact the Registrar’s Office.

If you are seeking dual degrees (such as JD/MBA) or if you have more than one curricula (such as a double major) you must submit a separate application for each degree/curriculum.

Complete your exit interviews prior to the end of your final term.  You will not be able to pick up your regalia until you have completed these interviews.
