Success requires experience, and MC Law’s location in downtown Jackson offers many part-time employment opportunities during the academic year as well as summer positions, externships, and clerkships. Many of these jobs lead to permanent positions upon graduation.
The Office of Career Services serves as a liaison between employers and students. We help students prepare, interview, and secure employment. Our students are highly sought after by a spectrum of firms, agencies, and businesses.
The job placement rate for MC Law graduates is impressive. Most recently our ABA Employment Questionnaire showed that more than 90% of the Class of 2023 were employed 10 months after graduation. Our office strives to get to know each students' individual needs and provide guidance on how to embark upon a legal career. We recognize that many factors affect job decisions and we work side by side with students keeping in mind their unique factors such as grades and experience coupled with current external factors like the economy and employer demand.
