MC Law Places 2nd in the Wagner Labor & Employment Competition

 

MC Law finished second place in the 35th annual Robert F. Wagner Labor and Employment Competition held in New York, N.Y. on March 16-20. Third-year students Sue Ann Bernard of Natchez and Matt McCluer of Madison argued in the final round of the competition against Northern Kentucky. In addition to making the finals, the team won the 3rd Best Overall Petitioner’s Brief. 

 

The New York Law School Moot Court Association has hosted the Wagner Competition for over 30 years. The competition is the nation’s largest-run moot court competition dedicated exclusively to the areas of labor and employment law.

 

The MC Law team was coached by Steve Brandon of Sykes & Brandon law firm and Tim Lindsey of Ogletree Deakins.  The team was sponsored by Ogletree Deakins Nash.
