MC Law Moot Court Board to serve as host for regional competition
Mississippi College School of Law will serve as the host for the regional event of the National Moot Court Competition on November 10-12. Co-sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the New York City Bar Association, the competition will feature law schools from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
The preliminary and quarterfinal rounds will take place on Friday and the final round on Saturday on the law school's downtown campus. Fellows of the Mississippi Chapter of the American College of Trial Lawyers will serve as judges for the event.
MC Law will be represented in the competition by third-year students Robert Canoy, Bethany Tarpley and Laura Huddleston (brief writer).
Other schools participating in the competition are Cumberland School of Law (Samford University), Jones School of Law (Faulkner University), Paul M. Hebert Law Center (Louisiana State University), Loyola University (New Orleans), Southern University Law Center, Tulane Law Center, University of Alabama Law School, The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, The University of Mississippi, The University of Tennessee at Knoxville School of Law, Vanderbilt Law School and Mississippi College School of Law.
