The Mississippi College School of Law Externship program provides students with the opportunity to combine their legal education with public interest work.  The Externship program places students in pre-approved placements with public interest agencies in the broad categories of government service and non-profit legal service.  Students may extern in local Externships, in and around the Jackson, MS area, or in remote Externships outside the Jackson, MS area. 

Externships are open to all students who have completed at least 45 academic credit hours. Students are encouraged to take multiple externships to enhance their public interest experience. For more information on our Legal Extern program, please click here.
