Facilities and Housing

The program will be held in the classroom facilities of the Alfmed Language School.  The school is centrally located in the historic center of Perpignan, with easy access to shops, restaurants, entertainment, public transportation, and libraries.  The facility also offers wireless internet and a garden.  Alfmed is arranging several educational and cultural activities for students, including a guided tour of Perpignan, a visit to nearby Collioure, a welcome dinner, and several speakers. More information on the Alfmed facilities and location may be found at www.alfmed.com.

Housing and Meals

Housing is available through the program at the Ibis Perpignan Centre Hotel.  Students also have the option of arranging for their own housing.  A variety of apartments, guest houses, hostels, and hotels are available in Perpignan.  Students are responsible for their own meals.

The Ibis Perpignan Centre is a modern hotel in the historic centre of Perpignan.  These are standard hotel rooms.  There are no kitchen facilities or refrigerators in the rooms, though there is food available in the hotel and many meal options within walking distance of the hotel.  Students have the option of sharing a room with two single beds with another student from the Program or they may opt to stay alone for an additional cost.  The website for the hotel:  http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/hotel-1045-ibis-perpignan-centre/index.shtml

Please note:  Students opting to live at the hotel offered through the program will be billed for lodging on their summer billing statement, which is payable after the disbursement of summer aid funds.  Students opting to find their own housing will be fully responsible for arranging and paying for their own housing in accordance with the terms of their particular lodging choice.

Access for Persons with Disabilities

France is a developed country, and Perpignan is generally accessible to individuals with disabilities.  In particular, classroom facilities are generally equipped with entries and elevators that facilitate access by persons with physical disabilities.  MC Law will ensure that students with disabilities of any kind who participate in the program are provided with special accommodations to the extent possible.
