Professor Angela Mae Kupenda made a presentation at the Northeast People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference 2008, Education and the Economy: The Real Lives of People of Color , hosted by Boston University School of Law, September 12 - 14, 2008. Kupenda's presentation was titled:The State as Batterer, and incorporated both themes of racial dysfunction in America and theories related to battered women. Her essay will be published in a forthcoming issue of the University of Florida, Journal of Law & Public Policy.
