Professor Kettles Speaks at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Architecture de Paris Val de Seine

 On Friday, April 27, Professor Gregg Kettles served on a panel of street commerce experts at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Architecture de Paris Val de Seine to discuss the topic of "The New Dimensions of Street Commerce:  From Peddler to Automatic Distributor."  Other panelists included John C. Cross of Kent State University, Joel Meissonnier of Galatasaray University (Turkey), Jerome Monnet of the French Urbanism Institute, Caterine Reginensi of the Toulouse Architecture School (France), and Nicolas Bautes of the Center for Human Sciences of New Delhi (India).  Professor Kettles presented ideas from a paper, "Formal versus Informal Allocation of Land in a Commons:  The Case of the MacArthur Park Sidewalk Vendors."  The paper may be downloaded at http://ssrn.com/abstract=893618.  For more information about the panel and the seven-week series of which it is a part, see http://www.larueestatous.com/.
