Professor Vicki Lowery, director of Advocacy at Mississippi College School of Law, teaches upper-level writing and lawyering skills courses, including appellate advocacy, trial advocacy, and deposition skills. As coordinator of the law school's advocacy program, she advises its Moot Court Board, Advocacy Society, and Order of Barristers. Under her direction, MC Law has greatly expanded its advocacy program to include pre-trial, trial, and appellate competitions, in addition to arbitration and transactional law competitions.

Professor Lowery’s experience in the advocacy arena has led to her serving on the Legal Writing Institute's National Moot Court Committee, and offering expertise as a contributing author for the Moot Court Advisor's Handbook.

Professor Lowery also serves as the Deputy Director of MC Law's Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Center and coordinates its Supreme Court Lecture Series. Additionally, she advises students pursuing Civil Litigation Certificates; and serves as a faculty instructor for NITA (National Institute for Trial Advocacy).
