Mississippi College School of Law (MCSOL) will admit students in it's Executive Law School Program in the fall of 2010.  This program will allow students to extend their legal studies over five years instead of the traditional three years.

The program is designed to appeal to business people, educators, real estate professionals, or medical personnel who want to obtain a law degree but can’t give up their current employment to attend law school full time.  With the Executive Law School Program, they would be able to continue their employment or profession and attend law school.

Participants in the program would need to have some control over and flexibility in their work schedules to permit them to take at least nine hours of legal courses per semester.  Most of the courses required initially are taught during the day.

Those interested in the program should apply to take the Law School Admission Test (www.LSAC.org or 215-968-1001) which is next offered in September and then in December 2009 and February 2010.  They should also register with the Law School Data Assembly Service (www.LSAC.org), complete the regular on-line MCSOL application at the same site, and check the block on the application form indicating they are making application for the Executive Law School Program. The application must be submitted by June 15, 2010.

MCSOL anticipates taking a small number of highly qualified applicants in this program.
