Bioethics and Health Law Center
Mission Statement: The Bioethics and Health Law Center of Mississippi College School of Law is committed to bringing together members of the lay, medical, legal and policy-making communities to address contemporary healthcare dilemmas ranging from the beginning to the end of life. Located in downtown Jackson, MC Law is uniquely positioned to open the lines of communication among the patients, medical practitioners, lawyers and policy makers dealing with complex issues surrounding the delivery of just and ethical healthcare.
The Center is dedicated to providing excellent education in bioethics and health law to students and professionals through various activities, including:
- Support of faculty research activities and presentations
- Health Law Speaker Series, in collaboration with the student-run Health Law Society
- Course Offerings
- Externships
