e are a foundational law school.  During the first two semesters, students are required to take basic courses to teach them to think like a lawyer.  During the second and third year, we offer extensive course listings to choose from.

Clinical and moot court programs and a wide-array of co-curricular activities help round out our academic experience.  Each year, in order to complement coursework, nationally and internationally recognized speakers visit the school and share different perspectives and insights.

Louisiana Civil Law Certificate
We offer a Louisiana Civil Law Certificate program for those interested in practicing in Louisiana. This program features four courses that provide the foundation for a Louisiana practice. Students who complete this course work receive a certificate in Civil Law. These courses are taught by experienced Louisiana attorneys.

"Mississippi College School of Law is on the road to becoming the Law School of Mississippi. Being located in Jackson gives students and faculty access to the processes and people who make and interpret the laws. No other law school in Mississippi has that access."
