MC Law to Host Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft
MC Law will host former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft on March 29, 2017, during an event organized by the MC Law student chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Dean Emeritus Jim Rosenblatt, along with first-year law student Sam Noblin (president of the student chapter of the Federal Bar Association) collaborated to organize the meeting. Noblin and Rosenblatt have recently worked together to reorganize the MC Law student chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Rosenblatt says he is thrilled to have Ashcroft visit the MC Law campus: “We are honored to have a governmental leader of General John Ashcroft's stature speak at Mississippi College School of Law,” he says. “We look forward to hearing his perspective on issues he encountered as Governor of Missouri, U.S. Senator, and the 79th Attorney General of the United States as well as his take on the current political scene from his vantage point as a D.C. lobbyist.”
Ashcroft will speak at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29 in the Auditorium of the Student Center. Parking is available across the street in the Law School parking lot. The event is free and open to the public.
