Caroline Smith (3L) Receives Conference Scholarship
MC Law student Caroline B. Smith was recently awarded one of only two scholarships (nationally) to attend the Emerging Issues in Health Law Conference hosted annually by the American Bar Association. The event will take place in March this year in New Orleans. The other recipient is from the University of Hawaii. The scholarship covers all expenses.
The field of Health Law is incredibly dynamic as it adjusts to changes in the healthcare industry. This conference brings together some of the best healthcare practitioners in the country to discuss developments in the area.
Caroline is the President of the Health Law Society at MC Law and is also completing the Health Law Certificate. After graduation, Smith will clerk for Judge Leslie Southwick on the 5th Circuit of Appeals before joining Butler Snow LLP.
