Carlyn Hicks ('10) Selected to Participate in Family Defense Leadership Workshop
Carlyn Hicks ('10) has been invited to participate in the University of Michigan's Family Defense Leadership Workshop (FDLW), sponsored by Casey Family Programs. Hicks is the Senior Staff Attorney at Mission First Legal Aid Office and Clinical Adjunct Professor at MC Law. During her career, Hicks has spearheaded efforts to make Parent Representation in Child Welfare cases a reality for Mississippi families.
During the FDLW, law professors, practitioners, policy reform specialists, and child welfare law office administrators will essentially "teach each other" during a two-day intensive training. The workshop will be held June 8-9, 2017, at the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Mich.
