About Law Review

Student researching legal volumesThe Mississippi College Law Review ("Review"), published twice yearly, is a student-administered publication. Its purpose is to comment upon matters of current legal interest and to provide a forum for the presentation of ideas by students, faculty, and members of the legal community. The Review publishes articles authored by jurists, professors, and practitioners from within the state and throughout the country, as well as works authored by members of the Review.

The Mississippi College Law Review is proud to introduce its Online Forum as a supplement to the Review's bi-annual hard journal. The online journal serves as an avenue for the publication of original scholarship from professors, practitioners, judges, legislators, and law students nationwide. While submissions discussing and responding to articles published in the hard journal are welcomed, the scope of available topics is not limited.  Indeed, we encourage essay submissions discussing a variety of legal topics.

The Review is edited and published by law students who are selected for membership on the bases of academic excellence, as well as superior legal research and writing ability. Membership on the Review staff is recognized as both an honor of the highest academic achievement and a unique educational experience.
